After a short while traveling at sea, the ship suddenly came to a stop. Naudia and the rest of the group wondered what was going on, so slowly made their way up to the top of the ship.

"I-It's a dragon!" one of the crew members shouted before tossing down the tools he was carrying and running down the stairs toward the ship's interior.
Naudia was the first one to walk over, leaning over the boat some to look around for a better view, catching a glimpse of a tail going around the boat. She heard a roar from the sky moments later, looking up, spotting the azure dragon, "Not today you don't.." she spoke softly, looking to the others on the boat, "Get everyone inside!"

After the group started to motion everyone inside, Naudia looked up at the dragon with a narrowed gaze. She pulled the red orb from her cape, summoning the firey equine from the heavens. The hooved creature slowly spread out its wings, the beat of the dragon's wings and his overall movements seemed to slow.

"Now's our chance.." Naudia thought. She fired off a few fireballs from her staff, the hooved creature rushing around the dragon in the sky, the flames damaging the dragon's skin. After a barrage of attacks, Naudia seemed to disappear from sight as the hooved creature took control, his eyes burning a firey red. He gave off a whinney as the sky turned red, flames which seemed to flow like a river moving from the hooved creature and moving underneath the dragon, "washing" him away down the firey stream of flames. The tough exterior skin of the dragon peeling away revealing the muscle and soon after there was nothing but bones to be swept away.

Naudia recalled the creature, gently petting the white coat before the creature returned to the orb which she then attached back to her cape, "Thank you for helping me."
Zara watched the scene before him in amazement, "We're supposed to help someone who has the ability to do that?"
Aiden shook his head, "She's getting stronger, boy. We're part of the reason for that. She's strong, that's for sure, but she's not ready to be on her own just yet."
"We're also getting closer to the capitol" Luz added in, "She knows we're the only ones who will stand up against them. She's more determined to win now."
One of the crew members approached the group and spoke quietly, "You all are together with that woman, aren't you?"
Luz nodded slowly, "Yes we are. Why?"
The man spoke again softly, "The captain requests to see you all. Don't make a big fuss. Go quietly." He continued on his way up to the ship, starting to work on the ship's exterior.

The gang headed into the ships interior, walking down the steps. The remainder of the crew members seemed to be pointing them in the right direction toward the captain's quarters with nonchalant nods of the head or quick points of the finger. The attendant outside of the captain's quarters rapidly got them through the door.

The captain turned around slowly. He appeared to be some kind of blue, lizard-like creature, scales upon his face, hands and any other skin which could be visibly seen from the outside which wasn't much as they were hidden by his blue ruffled coat and long pants to match, each adorned with golden design. He adjusted his hat slightly before speaking.

"You are the ones who defeated that dragon, are you not?" He spoke sternly
Naudia stepped forward slightly. She wasn't sure what his reaction would be and, if it happened to be he didn't like it, she'd make sure to take all the blame for herself, "I'm the one who defeated that dragon."
"Relax, young lady. I'm not here to scold you all for defeating it. In fact, I'm here to offer you my gratitude for saving my ship, my crew and my passengers."
"We don't require any payment or thanks. We did that to help with our own agenda."
"You should really learn to let others help you, miss. We're known here on the Janghar ship for not siding with anyone no matter the circumstances. However, in this instance I feel that I must assist you."
"And what is it you plan on doing for us?" Aiden inquired
"There's going to be guards all over you if you walk off of this ship in Left Wing Harbor. I don't know who you all are, but if you didn't have something to hide, you wouldn't be taking my ship in the first place. I don't require explanation, I just wish to help. I will hide you all in my cargo boxes. Since the capitol trusts me, there's no reason for them to check it."
Luz frowned slightly, "Isn't that dangerous for you? It's going to cause problems with the Empire, isn't it?"
"You let me deal with the Empire, you all just continue on your journey."
Naudia nodded slightly, "Thank you."

Meanwhile, within the capitol...

"What's the status on the report on Sycro Palace repairs?" one man spoke around the table
"Initial reports indicate at least $3 million in repair costs from the attack." another replied
"Do we have any information about who the attackers are?" the first man began again, "This early report indicates Naudia was involved."
"Naudia?" a deep voice spoke from the dark of the room, only a glimpse of his long raven hair and his purple robe were visible. There was another darkened figure which stood behind him, but other than a womanly figure, anything further wasn't visible.
The first male looked over at him, "Is there a problem, Shin?"
"Well now that you mention it, yes. Sycro Palace, the military base in Charheim...don't you understand? Whoever it is, they're moving closer and closer to us. They're attacking our strong points and sending the message that they're coming after us. And if it is Naudia, we'd all better be prepared."
A third man from the table laughed, "And what are we to worry about if it is her? She no longer has any power, remember? These attacks couldn't possibly have come from her."

Shin remained quiet as the men continued on talking over the next hour about reports, damages, attacks, military tactics, finances and the like. After the meeting was over and all the men left, Shin stood up from his chair and moved into the light. He adjusted his white-adorned purple robe, lifting a large cap onto his head. The cap stood straight up, a golden half-oval on either side of it along with a white tassel on each side appearing to be horsehair or some kind of other long animal hair. On his hands were white gloves which almost seemed to be attached to his skin, the tips of his fingers were a blue-ish purple color and seemed to be some form of claw.

"Those idiots wouldn't know a tank if it was sitting in front of them."
The female voice behind him spoke, "Do you really think she'll be back?"
"I have no doubt. Naudia was always strong-willed. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, so the saying goes."
"I don't understand, Shin. Isn't it bad that she's coming back here to attack us?"
"Maybe if we were those weak empire goons. Naudia is still under my control within the palm of my hand. She will do as I say. Besides, it's actually better for us that she be the one to attack the empire."
"Attack the empire? But we're working for them, Shin. Why is that a good thing?"
Shin sighed, rubbing his forehead, "Must I explain everything to you? We joined the empire to use their resources and get free, easy access to all parts of the nation for our own goals. It makes things so much easier for us to take over. And with Naudia attacking instead of us, we can remain in our cloaks and let her destroy the empire. And then once we defeat Naudia...there's nobody that will stand in our way."

Back on the ship, Naudia and the others were being put into the cargo boxes about a half hour before docking. The workers were quick to cover them up with grass and other goods.

"So we've been reduced to this.." Aiden spoke softly
"If it lets us get to the capitol quicker, then it doesn't matter how we get there, does it?" Luz responded quietly

After the ship docked, the crew members started to unload the cargo. The boxes with Naudia and the others were loaded onto a wagon with a few other boxes. A guard looked over at them and walked over.

"Hold on one second there. Where are you going with those?"
"A quick delivery for a friend on Fang Hill."
"Then let's have a look at some of that shall we?"
The captain of the ship stepped out, "Don't tell me you're going to slow down my ship, good sir."
The guard shook his head, "No, sir I just..."
"Then let him hurry with his delivery so that we can get out of here. If you're worried about the cargo, there's no need. I checked over that load myself."
"Very well then. Proceed." the guard stepped out of the way so the wagon could continue on its way.
The captain watched as the wagon took off, tipping his hat slightly, "Good luck to you, strangers." Turning back to his ship and commanding his crew.
After the wagon arrived upon Fang Hill, the driver unloaded the cargo boxes. He specifically set aside the boxes with Naudia and the others and, once they were all unloaded, opened up the boxes to let them out.
Aiden looked around, dusting himself off, "Where are we?"
"Fang Hill" the driver responded, "It's known as a safe haven for those around these parts."
Naudia looked around, pointing to the Northeast, "That's where the capitol is. It's getting late but there's a lake around here we can make it to and camp out at. Let's go." She started walking away from the group.
Zara blinked, "What's wrong with her?"
Luz shook her head, "Nothing. She's just more determined than ever to get there."
"Whenever I had a big battle.." Vionna began "..I got the same way. You're excited, you're nervous, you're ready to go and get things done. You can't show anyone else how you're feeling or you'll start to make them feel even more nervous."
"Yeah but you didn't have to face your own ex-husband and the company that screwed you over." Aiden added in. "Though I think the former is more worrysome for her."
Vionna looked at him, "Do you think she's ready to face him?"
"Not yet.." he replied
"If you ask me, what she lost that day weren't her powers, but rather her spirit. I think her true powers, including the phoenix, are somewhere within her lying dormant. Once she gets that spirit back then she'll be back to her normal self again." Luz added.

The group followed after Naudia and the traveled together toward the lake. Upon arriving, Zara and Aiden went off to collect firewood while the three females went to the lake to fish.

"I've never been good at fishing." Luz grumbled as she threw her line into the water, hanging onto the pole.
Vionna looked at Naudia, "Do you sense it?"
Naudia nodded slowly, "Somewhere in this lake. That's why I insisted on going."

Soon the water began to bubble toward the middle, a black outline seemed to be coming in their direction slowly.

"W-what is that?" Luz asked
"Another summon" Naudia responded

Silver spikes poked out from the top of the water before the sea serpent's head came up above the surface. He gave a light growl as his neck and head rose slowly above the trio.

"Which one of you is the summoner?" the creature snapped.
Naudia stepped forward, "I am Naudia Artisban, the summoner."
"So you're the one snatching up the creatures lately and claiming them as your own."
"They chose to follow me of their own free will. They chose to lend me their strength."
"And why should they help you?"
"Perhaps because I'm fighting for a cause they know is right and because they know no matter what I do, I'm going to help everyone and not just myself."
"Help everyone? Well let's just see. If you three can defeat me then I shall also join your cause and see just what you can do. However..."

Suddenly, a seal formed around Naudia's other summons which meant she was unable to use any of her other summons. Naudia took notice of this and took a strong grip of her staff.

"Summons or not, we'll still defeat you." Naudia promised to the serpent

Naudia concentrated on using thunder-based attacks, Vionna shooting off fire arrows while Luz concentrated on both protecting the group and her own attacks on the creature. It wasn't before too long that the creature became weakened.

The creature lowered its head with a groan, "V-Very well then. You are the woman they spoke of. I will help you on your journey." He formed into a blue orb and attached to Naudia's cloak, the seal on her other summons breaking.

After the three women were able to catch a few fish, they headed back to the camp area where they'd left the men, who had already started a campfire.

"About time you two got back, we're starving here." Aiden complained
"Just what took you guys so long?" Zara chimed in.
The three ladies looked at each other before speaking in unison, "Nothing."
They all sat around the campfire that night, a new addition to the summon collection to help them and now they were getting closer to meeting their goal.
The VERY first look at the ex hubby -GASP- and the little helper girl. You'll see alot more of these two later on, don't worry. He's a smart cookie, he knows Naudia's comin' to kick his ass

Also new summon get. I wanted to make it a sea creature of some kind but "not another sea dragon". Just a long serpent-ish creature with metallic parts around his head and tail. He excretes a special enzyme from his body so that the metal won't rust. Neat, isn't it?

Dedicated to the drunkard for his bday. I realize it's a few days past his bday and I'm sorry for that, I've just been busy and it's been really hot outside (when it's hot I don't like to write, laptop is too warm on my lap)
